Discography researched, compiled and published by Sushanta Kumar Chatterjee, Calcutta & Michael Kinnear, Melbourne, which was published in ‘The Record News’(TRN), Journal of The Society of Indian Record Collectors, Vol. 25 & 26, Jan / Apr, 1997, establishes that K.C. Dey rendered as many as 467 songs which were published on 78rpm gramophone discs between 1917 and 1956.

Based on discography available in 'Hindi Film Geet Kosh', Vol.1 (1931-1940), by Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz', two additional K.C. Dey songs (for which no audio files are available) from the film Pujarin (1936) and one Kanan Devi song from Hindi film Vidyapati (1937), which includes the voice of K.C. Dey (audio file available), have been added to the list of 467 songs to take it to a grand total of 470.

125 new songs files added :
So far, audio files for 180 out of 470 songs have been collected and presented on this website. In addition, 23 sound track version songs are available for songs (against some of film songs covered by 180), on disc.
Eight Hindi and 16 Bengali songs available only on the sound track of films and which were not issued on gramophone disc have also been added.

In addition, audio files for 12 Hindi / Urdu and 4 Bengali songs have also been posted. Once discography details supported by disc labels become available for these recordings, it is possible that they will neatly fit into the list compiled by Sushanta Kumar Chatterjee & Michael Kinnear. The website also has 6 audio files related to K.C. Dey songs rendered by other singers.
